Working Visit to Jiangsu Province

As part of the working visit of the delegation of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat to Jiangsu Province, members of the delegation visited an exhibition dedicated to the system of people's congresses in Jiangsu Province.

The exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the history of the formation and development of the people's congress system in China, the activities of representative bodies, the participation of people's deputies in local government, and mechanisms for interaction with the population. Through historical materials, photographs, and information displays, the exhibition presents the key stages in the development of the people's congress system and its current activities.

During the visit, the delegation toured the meeting hall of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress and met with Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on further strengthening traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, developing interregional ties, and sharing experience.

Following the meeting, the Almaty Regional Maslikhat and the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress signed a Memorandum of Friendship and Cooperation.

The document is aimed at further developing interaction between the representative bodies of the two regions, facilitating the exchange of experience, and strengthening friendly ties.
