The grand opening of the Olympic swimming pool took place in Taldykorgan
On July 06, 2021, an Olympic-type indoor swimming pool was opened in the city of Taldykorgan. The construction of this structure consists of two stages: stage 1 – the pool building, stage 2 – landscaping and carrying out engineering networks to the building.
In March 2019, a public-private partnership agreement for the construction and operation of an indoor swimming pool in Taldykorgan for a total amount of 11.4 billion tenge was signed between the State Institution "Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Almaty Region", the State Institution "Department of Construction of the Almaty Region" and "ABC Korkem Kurylys" LLP. The facility was put into operation on December 29, 2020. Technical and economic indicators of the building: building area-8680 sq. m.; total area-13 069.88 sq. m.; construction volume-148 800.0 m3; capacity-570 spectator seats.
According to the 2nd stage, in November 2020, the contractor organization Bazis Construction LLP started construction and installation work on engineering networks and landscaping of the territory of the indoor swimming pool and was completed in June 2021.
The facility allows you to practice all types of swimming, water polo, diving, water aerobics. There are 3 types of swimming pools in the building: a large swimming pool with a length of 52 meters, a diving pool with a depth of more than 5 meters, a children's pool. The swimming pool is designed for year-round sports competitions of various levels, as well as for recreational swimming of citizens, teaching children. Conditions have been created for low-mobility categories of citizens.
