May 9-Victory Day began with a monument to WWII veterans located in the village of Kegen. Acting akim of the district Kabylbekov Kenes Kunesbayevich, chairman of the District Council of Veterans Dosymbekov Sabyr and descendants of heroes who participated in the Great Patriotic War laid flowers at the monument to WWII veterans. Akim of kegen rural district Masenov Ruslan Keneszhanovich made a speech, and Naib Imam Nurbol Baidildauly dedicated the Koran to the ancestors.
And flowers were laid at the monument to the mother and the monument to the Home Front workers.
