In accordance with the rules for the maintenance of dogs and cats and the capture and destruction of stray dogs and cats in the Almaty region, approved by the decision of the Almaty regional maslikhat √51-257 of July 21, 2019 of the state institution" Veterinary Department of Almaty region", a total of 270 heads of stray dogs have been caught and destroyed in 12 rural districts of the district since the beginning of the year.  Based on the decision of the Almaty regional maslikhat, 2,190 copies of memos were distributed to rural residents on the maintenance of dogs and cats, as well as on the hunting and destruction of stray dogs and cats, and explanatory work was carried out for dog owners. The dog hunting team continued to hunt stray dogs and cats. In case of absence of the owner of the dog within 3 days, when dogs and cats that are not kept in custody are caught by the hunting team and placed in a temporary detention Cage, the dog is destroyed and the company does not take responsibility for the destroyed dog. Dogs and cats that are free on the street with their owners are photographed, and information about the names and addresses of the owners is provided to the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Animal Responsibility and Article 407-2 of the Code of administrative offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
