The third national census of 2021, which took place from September 1 to October 30, was conducted in the district. From October 31 to November 8, the period of control selective visits began.
As of November 1, the census covered 32,891 people, or 107.7% of the district's population. In kegen district, 14,670 people went online and 18,221 people went offline, which is 107.7%.
The 2020 census is held within the framework of the world population and housing stock. In 2021, along with Kazakhstan, 60 more countries passed the population census.
For 30 days, in the settlements of the District, 30 census respondents visited their sites daily according to the established methodology, but some residents were not able to meet with the census staff, and they had to come to the same house several times.
Currently, most of the population who did not pass the census in a timely manner is active, performing their civic duty and passing on their own, because www sanaq.gov.kz the site will work until the end of the control period, and residents who have not passed the census will be able to pass through the eGov e-government portal using the link and the mobile app "Aitu". The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides for liability for failure to provide primary statistical data, including during the population census. This is a global experience. In the Republic of Kazakhstan, this norm is set out in Article 497 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on administrative offenses".
The census is not a population census, but a census survey includes many aspects. Since the population census is conducted in Kazakhstan every 10 years, the data obtained will be used by many institutions as information in their activities over the next ten years. Based on the indicators introduced by the population, the state also determines the quantitative composition of the population, predicts and plans the development of the infrastructure of the district and village. It is planned to build additional schools, hospitals, maternity hospitals, and enterprises in the locality where the population growth is observed.
This week, after the end of the census, observers - instructors, together with interviewers, will conduct a survey of respondents in residential buildings, covering 10 percent of each reporting area. This stage will last until November 8 and will be carried out with the aim of verifying the completeness of Population Registration and the correctness of data quality during the 2021 census, ensuring that respondents visited each residential building and that the questionnaire was filled out for all residents.
