Kanat Bozumbayev voiced topical problems of the development of the Almaty region

Almaty region was visited by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov. During the meeting, oblast akim Kanat Bozumbayev voiced a number of problematic issues and possible solutions, - the press service of the akim of Almaty region reports.

According to Kanat Bozumbaev, it is especially important for the agro-industrial region to involve retired irrigated lands in circulation. In this regard, by 2025 it is planned to restore 114 thousand hectares of land through reconstruction and overhaul for a total of 153.4 billion tenge, which will not only increase the gross agricultural harvest by 35%, but also create 9.5 thousand new workers places.

The akim of the region also stopped on topical problems of the sphere of housing and communal services. In particular, this is the reconstruction of worn-out water supply networks, the continuation of gasification of the settlements of the region, the development of the engineering and transport infrastructure of the city of Taldykorgan, the provision of affordable and high-quality housing to those on the waiting list, including the provision of housing payments to employees of the internal affairs bodies, as well as solving the problems of summer cottages.

- A comprehensive solution requires the problem of summer cottages. There are 705 dachas in the region, of which 674 or 95.6% are located in the zone of the Almaty agglomeration. In total, 214 thousand people live on the territory of dacha communities. It is necessary to give them the status of a settlement or to resettle the inhabitants, using budgetary funds and private investments for the construction of housing and infrastructure in the Talgar, Ile, Enbekshikazakh and Karasai regions. In this regard, we are developing an Action Plan, which will include the voiced proposals, - said K. Bozumbaev.

The issues of the social sphere were not left without attention. Thus, due to the high birth rate and large internal migration, the problem of three-shift schools remains relevant. To date, their number has reached 54, in addition, there are 143 adapted schools. The construction of new standard schools requires considerable funds, and funding through general transfers is insufficient. Also, the allocation of additional funds from the republican budget is necessary in connection with a decrease in the standard teaching load for teachers of secondary education organizations. In addition, the completion of the Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship "Enbek" creates a risk of rising unemployment in the region, which means that there is a need to use new state support tools.

Summarizing the above, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov noted:

- Work is currently underway to prepare a draft budget clarification. Active measures are being taken to effectively fulfill the instructions of the President of the country, announced at an expanded meeting of the Government. All issues that were discussed today will be analyzed by the ministries of finance and the national economy. No problem will be left unattended. In addition, the issues of food security, price control for socially important goods and the modernization of markets and bazaars in order to develop the trade sector as a whole remain a priority. In total, there are 84 markets in the Almaty region, most of which need to be reorganized. The corresponding program will be developed jointly with local executive bodies, Bakhyt Sultanov summed up.
