Draft Anti-Corruption Policy Concept for 2022-2026 was discussed in Almaty region

Today Akim of Almaty region Kanat Bozumbayev met with representatives of the business community of the region. At a joint meeting with the leadership of the Anti-Corruption Service, the draft Concept of the Anti-Corruption Policy for 2022-2026 was discussed, the press service of the Akim of Almaty Region reports.

The main report was made by the First Deputy Head of Anti-Corruption Agency Department (Anti-Corruption Service) for Almaty region Zh. Zhumabaev, who focused on the main provisions of the draft Concept and noted the importance of its detailed discussion.

As Akim of the region Kanat Bozumbayev emphasized, the Concept was developed within the framework of the execution of the instructions of the Head of State and represents important directions for improving the anti-corruption policy. He also focused on state support detail provided to entrepreneurs in the region. For example, last year 21 billion tenge was allocated for these purposes, more than 3,000 entrepreneurs were financed, and more than 6,000 new working places were created.

- The concept of anti-corruption policy concerns all of us. This is an important document. It will regulate the relationship between state, law enforcement agencies and, above all, the business community. This increases responsibility on both sides. According to this program, the entire region will work. While the Concept is in the form of a draft, it is important that all entrepreneurs in the region actively participate in its discussion and make specific proposals. Then everything will be summarized and transferred to the relevant structures, - said K. Bozumbaev.

Businessmen of the region also expressed their opinion, drawing attention to the procedure for subsidizing agribusiness entities, ensuring the transparency of public procurement, including an increase in local content.

Summing up the meeting, Kanat Bozumbayev instructed the departments of entrepreneurship and industrial-innovative development, agriculture, together with the regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs, to discuss the draft Concept and submit their proposals to the Anti-Corruption Service for Almaty region.
