The second dry port will be created in Almaty region

Today regional akim Amandyk Batalov met with investors on the project of construction of a cargo terminal at the Dostyk station. This project can be called "the second dry port", - the press service of the akim of the Almaty region reports.

As it was noted, the Dostyk station, located in the border zone on the territory of the Alakol region, has wide opportunities for development. The Dar rail company proposed to implement a project for the construction of a cargo terminal at this station.

Emphasizing the importance of the project for expanding the transport and logistics potential of the region, regional akim Amandyk Batalov instructed the akimat of the Alakol region and the regional administration of land relations, first of all, to determine the land plot that will be provided on the territory of the station. Then the possibility of bringing in the infrastructure will be considered. "Zhetysu" SEC was instructed to take an active part in the support and maintenance of the project. Also during the meeting, an emphasis was made on the possibilities of this project for development as a second Dry Port.

As the representative of Dar rail LLP Maxim Matyuk noted, the company has been engaged in railway transportation in the country for several years. After the land plot is determined, Dar rail LLP is ready to start construction work and project implementation at Dostyk station.
