Recent years, intensive gardening in the Almaty region has been gaining momentum. Many farms master advanced technologies and, thanks to this, receive high-quality products. A striking example of this is the Enbekshikazakh region, where 25 agricultural enterprises are engaged in intensive gardening. The area of intensive gardens in the region exceeded 2 thousand hectares. Due that fact, the gross harvest of apples increased to about 50 thousand tons, the average yield reached 84 c / ha. One of the active participants in modern gardening is Alma Mater Fields LLP, whose gardens occupy about 500 hectares, - the press service of the Akim of Almaty region reports.
According to the akimat of the Enbekshikazakh region, in a short period of time "Alma Mater Fields" in its own practice proved the effectiveness of intensive gardening. Modern gardens of LLP are located in Ashysai, Tausugur, Kyzylsharyk.
For example, in a garden located in Kyzylsharyk village , the planting of apple seedlings was started in 2017. The varieties "Gala", "Golden Delicious", "Granny Smith", "Fuji" and other high-grade seedlings quickly took root. A young apple orchard with an area of 126 hectares is completely closed with a special net that protects the fruits from birds and hail, as well as partly from the heat. Apple trees in the garden are 3-4 years old. Last year, gardeners received about 40 tons of apples per hectare.
-On one hectare there are 4200 apple tree seedlings. Due to their low stature, their height reaches 3.5 meters. The distance between the fruit trees is 80 cm. This is also one of the characteristics of an intensive garden. Such a distance between trees allows them to strengthen and grow better. This allows, on the one hand, to economically use the available plot of land, and on the other hand, to get a rich harvest, ” - says farm manager Rashid Atambai.
According to him, drip irrigation has been established in the garden. Each tree uses 12 liters of water per day. Everything is regulated by an automatic installation, which is operated by one person. Three more persons controlling irrigation pipes are not clogged with debris and soil.
Particular attention is paid to protecting apple trees from all kinds of pests, providing them with mineral fertilizers for feeding. Agronomist Zhumash Erketan, who received his special education in Poland, is in charge of this. Having fully mastered the features of modern gardening technologies, he constantly exchanges experience with foreign colleagues and at the same time updates his knowledge and skills, making a significant contribution to the development of domestic gardening.
About 300 people are involved in the autumn harvest, most of whom are local residents.
- The development of horticulture provides employment for the population. We work here until mid-October. Each person should pick 800 kilograms of apples a day. Our monthly salary is good, ”-says Zhazira Kainarbaeva, a resident of Kyzylsharyk village .
By the way, after the end of the harvest, the work does not stop, so during the year about 80 people continue to work on the farm.
- It takes some time to assemble the mesh. Pruning off excess fruit tree branches is also not an easy task. Such work continues with us until spring. In addition, there are two fruit storage facilities on the garden territory. All conditions for winter and summer storage of 600 tons of apples are created in 18 cells, - says Rashid Atambai.
In general, Alma Mater Fields LLP began its stage-by-stage development in 2017. Over the past 4 years, the company has planted 490 hectares of intensive orchards, built 2 fruit storage facilities with controlled atmosphere with a capacity of 7200 tons, launched the production of directly squeezed juices with a design capacity of up to 1000 l / h. At the moment, a project for a new fruit storage is being prepared. Currently, LLP has created more than 100 permanent jobs, as well as more than 500 seasonal ones. The total cost of the project is about 12 billion tenge.
It is important to be noted that in t Enbekshikazakh district, the area of fruit and berry crops is 7321 hectares, pome fruit crops - 6828 hectares, of which apple orchards - 6161 hectares, including 2170 hectares of intensive orchards.
