Carbon monoxide poisoning during the heating period

The reason for cases of carbon monoxide poisoning was the circumstances associated with violations of fire safety requirements during the operation of faulty furnace and gas equipment (clogged chimney, burnouts and cracks in the furnace structure).
Thus, all the facts of carbon monoxide poisoning are related to the negligent attitude of citizens to heating devices (disregard for fire safety requirements and improper operation), which increases the number of injured people from carbon monoxide, and often people get poisoned not alone, but whole families, where there are children.
And in order to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, residents of Karasay district should follow simple rules:
- to observe elementary measures of fire safety at operation of electric heaters and devices of the heating furnace;
- check and repair stoves in homes;
- regularly clean chimneys and furnaces from the accumulated soot in them;
- do not install or use fuel-burning devices without sufficient knowledge, skills, and tools;
- do not burn charcoal in the house, tent, car or garage;
- do not use unventilated gas devices in a closed room or in a room where you sleep;
- do not use a gas stove, oven, or dryer to heat the room.
