The largest number of fires occurs in the residential sector. The main causes of fires in the residential sector are violation of the rules for the operation and installation of electrical equipment, violation of fire safety rules during the operation of stove heating and careless handling of fire.

In this regard, employees of the emergency situations department of the Karasai region, employees of the local police service, together with volunteers of the youth wing "Zhas Otan" held a cleanup in the residential sector.

The purpose of preventive safety is - prevention, prevention of emergencies in everyday life, prevention of death and injury of people in case of emergency, compliance with basic safety rules. When carrying out preventive measures, special attention is paid to the places of residence of persons of a social risk group, including: dysfunctional families, large and low-income families, disabled people and pensioners.

As part of this event, employees have developed a special "Safe envelope" for large and low-income families of the region. An envelope with bright logos of the "Fire Safety Day" campaign was handed over to vulnerable groups of the population through the mail of Kazpost JSC. Written appeals to parents, memos and thematic bookmarks (magnets, developed crosswords, PCB coloring pages) became an attachment to the letter. This secure envelope not only reminds parents of safety, but also enhances children's knowledge of fire safety.

In this regard, we ask you to observe the basic safety rules in everyday life, namely:

  • Before the start of the heating season, check and repair stoves, as well as chimneys of heating stoves and other heating devices;
  • Clean stoves and chimneys from soot before starting, as well as during the entire heating season at least once a quarter;
  • In attics, whitewash all chimneys and walls in which smoke channels pass;
  • Protect the floor in front of the furnace opening with a metal sheet of at least 50x70 cm;
  • In case of detection of violations of the integrity of the plaster of the smoke channels, immediately take measures to eliminate them;
  • Install spark arresters on the chimneys of solid fuel stoves;

Dear citizens! We remind you once again that you cannot:

  • Leave heating stoves unattended, as well as entrust the supervision of them to young children;
  • Place fuel, other combustible substances and materials on the pre-combustion sheet;
  • To use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel and other flammable and combustible liquids to ignite stoves;
  • To heat the stoves with coal, coke and gas that are not intended for these types of stoves;
