Careless handling of fire while smoking has claimed many lives

The Department of Emergency Situations of the Ili Ration reminds: careless handling of fire, including carelessness when smoking, is one of the most common causes of fires with the death of people.
Remember that you can't:
- smoking in bed or sitting in an armchair, especially if you have drunk alcohol - it is very easy to fall asleep in this position. And if you don't put out a cigarette in time, clothes or furniture can catch fire from it.
- even extinguished cigarettes should not be thrown into bins with papers and other combustible waste - they can catch fire.
- do not use paper bags, match boxes or cigarettes as an ashtray.
- in no case should you smoke in the garage - the proximity of the car and flammable liquids can provoke a fire.
- it is necessary to ensure that matches or cigarettes do not fall into the hands of young children.
You also need to be careful when smoking on the landing. In no case is it allowed to throw outstanding cigarettes into the lower flights or elevator shaft. Such actions are especially dangerous when placed in the basement floors of commercial organizations that store combustible materials on common stairwells in violation of fire safety requirements. The smoldering of newsprint or cardboard, not to mention plastic, is enough to cut off the escape route and cause panic among citizens.
Remember! Carelessness or negligence when smoking is one of the most common causes of fires both in residential buildings and in industrial enterprises. In order to prevent a fire in the workplace or in the residential sector, it is necessary to observe the rules of fire safety when smoking.
