Compliance with the Code of Ethics is the duty of a civil servant

The Head of State noted in the Strategy " Kazakhstan-2050 "that"the highest ethics and professionalism are the key criteria for creating an effective state apparatus."

Today, issues of ethics and behavior of civil servants are given more importance. The integrity of the image of a civil servant is based on the manifestation of high professional and personal competencies, moral qualities and ethical behavior.

In accordance with paragraph 1 of the Code of Ethics of Civil Servants of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the performance of civil service is an expression of special trust on the part of society and the state and places high demands on the moral and ethical image of civil servants.
In addition, in accordance with p. 2), 7), 14 p. 5 of the Code of Ethics, civil servants must be modest, comply with generally accepted moral and ethical standards, and do not give rise to criticism from society by their actions and behavior.
From the first days of working in the civil service, newly arrived specialists are instilled with the belief in the need to observe politeness, correctness, modesty, and a culture of verbal behavior in dealing with citizens and colleagues.

The Code of Ethics also covers other aspects of generally accepted standards of conduct. For example, the code provides that the appearance of a civil servant in the performance of his official duties should contribute to strengthening the authority of the state apparatus, correspond to the generally accepted business style, which is distinguished by formality, restraint and accuracy.
