Online meeting in the framework of the "Strategy session" with the chairman of the committee for religious affairs Yerzhan Nukezhanov

Today, within the framework of the "Strategic session " initiated by the Ministry of information and public development, chairman of the committee on religious affairs Yerzhan Nukezhanov held another online meeting with the Department for religious affairs of Almaty region. The meeting was attended by employees of the Department for religious affairs and its subordinate "Center for the study of problems in the field of religion", "Center for the rehabilitation of victims of religious extremism and adherents of destructive cults", specialists in religious studies in the districts-cities and imams-representatives of the SAMK from Almaty and Taldykorgan regions.
During the online meeting, the head of the Department for religious affairs of the Almaty region, Rakhmet Razbekovich, reported on the results of the events held in 2020. The issues of strengthening secular principles among the population, harmonious state-confessional relations and preventing the spread of radical religious ideology in society, which are the main directions of building state policy in the religious sphere, are considered. In addition, the chairman of the committee E. Nukezhanov highly appreciated the work of the Almaty region in the field of religion and noted a number of positive results.
At the end of the event, the committee's staff answered a number of topical issues related to the conduct of religious expertise, the provision of public services in the field of religious activities, and shared their views on improving information and awareness-raising and counter-propaganda work. ⠀
