Meeting of the National Kurultai in Turkestan

At the National Congress held in Turkestan, the spiritual capital of the country, long-term ideological priorities concerning the field of education were discussed and concrete solutions were proposed. At the meeting, which lasted two days, the essence of issues important for the country was discussed, system proposals and partial solutions were presented.
The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is our national identity. He ordered the government and society to work together to strengthen and affirm the new values of the country.
Only honest citizens will create a fair Kazakhstan. The Head of State said that in every young person the qualities characteristic of an honest citizen should be found. The new identity of the nation is formed through the development of education, science and culture. We have a huge responsibility and task in this direction. Given that "education begins from the cradle," if we want to instill the principles of honesty in the younger generation, then first of all we must be the ones who show them morality.
Our president said that our national identity is a success. This should become an important strategy for the development of the country. Every educational institution should set a goal: "How can we become a successful kindergarten, a successful school, a successful college" and be ready to respond to it.
The President stressed that "the youth promoting the country's name in the world revives the spirit of the nation." We need to strengthen and develop this momentum of young people's interest in art, education, science and innovation. The Head of State has set the task of forming a new quality of the nation through the development of education, and we must do it with honor.
Another obvious task of the education sector is to protect young people, including schoolchildren, from the harmful effects of globalization. The Head of State criticized the educational work at the school. In particular, the problem of bullying among students was mentioned. We have to fight this problem as a society. Realizing that parents and family members, as well as the school staff, are responsible for the upbringing of children, we must involve public activists and specialists in the upbringing of the younger generation. Of course, the Parents' Academy at the school, which is planned to be launched next academic year, will deal with this issue directly. This issue is under my personal control.
Universality among schoolchildren and setting the task of glorifying national values, the Head of State stressed that "patriotism and statesmanship should be in every child." In addition, children and adolescents were also instructed to revive the work of patriotic organizations engaged in education. I believe that it is urgently necessary to start work on this issue at school next academic year. Also, in order to educate children in respect for the country, love for the land, and educate them on environmental issues, student volunteer clubs will be created and systematically work in school walls.
In order for the younger generation to become a perfect person, it is important for them to grow up with knowledge of their history, culture, and national values. We need to give children a high-quality education, spiritual development, and a broad worldview. In this direction, the President instructed to organize lectures at the school that promote the development of students' personality. The introduction of media literacy, law and financial literacy subjects into it is becoming a requirement of the era of globalization.
The Head of State instructed to create a new program called "Children's Library". With experts and public associations on the problem of increasing children's enthusiasm for reading books, specific measures will be determined after consultation.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also paid special attention to the development of border regions. At this stage, we will preserve educational institutions located near the borders and provide them with appropriate specialists, Internet, materials and technologies.We monitor the provision of the technical base, equipping with all the tools necessary to improve the quality of education.
The development of rural schools is one of the main issues discussed earlier. Specific measures are being taken in this regard. I believe that rural schools will become leaders in the field of education in the future if they are implemented systematically.
In accordance with the issues raised by President Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev at the National Congress, the tasks and instructions set for us, appropriate measures are being taken in all educational institutions and specific work is being carried out.
