The furor at the World Championship

Kazakh schoolchildren made a real sensation in the city of Dallas, Texas, USA.
For the first time in the history of robotics in Kazakhstan, at the world championship currently taking place in the USA, our 1737K Urei team set a world record and took a leading position, taking 9 wins out of 10 qualifying matches and taking 9th place out of 80 teams in its division. Also 2 other teams (1737D Dream ON and 1737Y Blue Ribbon) achieved excellent results and reached the quarter finals.
Recall that children of grades 3-8 gather in the VEX IQ Slapshot category. 8,500 teams from 45 countries participate in this category, including local, regional, national and world tournaments. 11,500 teams from grades 6-12 participate in the Vex Spin Up category.
The International Academy of Robotics has prepared students from schools in Almaty and Almaty region to participate in this competition. These are 26 students from 10 to 17 years old from schools: NIS, Galaxy, Shoqan, RFMSH, Dana, public schools № 30, 38, 39, 65, 90, 92, 111, 125, 138.
