The competition "The best teacher" has started in Kazakhstan

On the eve of the Teacher's Day, the competition "The Best teacher" has started in the country. The winners will receive awards in the amount of 3 million tenge. Recall that last year 64 teachers from different regions of the country received 3 million tenge each.

Full-time teachers of preschool, secondary, technical and vocational education organizations can take part in the competition. This year, extensive work was carried out in terms of digitalization: all stages of the competition – from registration of participants to summing up the results of the republican stage – are fully digitized.

Acceptance of documents begins on September 12 and will last until September 22, 2022. Information about the contest will be posted on the kundelik service.kz, which is used by all 380 thousand teachers of Kazakhstan.
Also, for the first time in the history of the competition, all stages – acceptance of applications for participation, registration, submission of tender documentation, evaluation – will be carried out on the web portal https://teachercontest.iac.kz/.

"The competition is important because it provides an opportunity to celebrate the work of dozens of teachers who are the best of the best. We have increased the prize fund and hope that this will become a motivation for strong specialists to enter the profession and a tribute to those who have been working in the profession for decades. Teachers who work in educational organizations and have continuous teaching experience of at least five years at the time of submission of documents can apply for the title of "Best Teacher". These are teachers of kindergartens, schools and colleges. The competition will take into account the contribution of the teacher to the development of the education system, his professional skills and the effectiveness of his activities. I would like to note that not only the number of applicants is growing every year, but also their level of preparedness. This indicates an increase in the status of a teacher and the quality of education in general. This year, every teacher participating in the competition, after filling out the questionnaire, will be able to track the further dynamics of the competition – at which stage the participants are, what points they were awarded by experts," said Gulmira Karimova, Chairman of the Secondary Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that the competition consists of three stages: stage I – district/ city level, stage II – regional level; stage III – republican level. According to the results of two competitions, those teachers who were able to score the highest points pass to the republican level.

The Republican contest "The Best teacher" has been held since 2012. During this time, about 600 teachers of preschool and secondary, technical and vocational education organizations have been awarded within the framework of the competition.

The holders of the title of "Best Teacher" will receive not only a monetary reward in the amount of 3 million tenge, but also badges.
