In order to improve the professional skills of geography teachers, a regional seminar "The use of effective methods and techniques in improving the functional literacy of geography students" was organized on the basis of the A.Baitursynov secondary school of the Karasai district. The goal is to use effective ways of forming functional literacy of students in the study of geography, exchange of experience. During the seminar, mentors and young teachers conducted open lessons using methods, techniques, active forms of learning that ensure high-quality classes.
Also, experienced teachers presented master classes "Opportunities for using digital educational resources in geography lessons" and "Effective platforms are the key to a successful lesson". The methodologist of the regional educational and methodological center for the development of education G.Dikhambayev told about the work of the association of subject teachers "Zhetysu shyny" and about the implementation of the project "Every geographer is a local historian".
