Managing and improving the quality of school education: challenges and opportunities

On October 29-30, 2021, a regional seminar was held for magnetic schools in a specialized gymnasium for gifted children named after Al-Farabi with instruction in three languages.

The goal is to create an effective model for the exchange of experience to improve the quality of education, professional development of teachers. The seminar was attended by directors, deputy directors, subject teachers of 5 magnetic schools of Rayymbek and Karasai districts. On the first day, the seminar was held in the following areas:

- "Master class" - subject teachers conducted 12 open lessons;

- "The development of functional literacy is the key to student self-improvement" - debates were organized among students of grades 8-11;

- Within the framework of the SDU-SGOD Al-Farabi memorandum, Suleiman Demirel University held a seminar "University and school: integration ties in the regional system" for the participants of the meeting.

On the second day, the seminar continued in sections: the psychologist of the gymnasium A.Mukazhanova told about the peculiarities of the organization of mediation at school, the deputy director for Academic Affairs K.Nurieva presented the experience of the gymnasium "Intra-school control: Teacher competence is the basis of result-oriented education", Deputy Director for Scientific and Methodological Work A.Sayyn demonstrated a model of management and organization of methodical work of the gymnasium. The participants also visited the Museum of the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Crop Production and the museum of the Al-Farabi Gymnasium.
