Live NIS-methodological support for teachers

This year, for the first time, every teacher of the country has the opportunity to join the main pedagogical Council of the year. Today, the central office of NIS has two television studios, where the subject sessions of a large-scale conference are broadcast live on the territory of the country. Methodological support of the teacher's experience is the core of professional thinking about education in New conditions.
Within the framework of the traditional August conference, which will be held from August 9 to August 17, thematic sessions on fifteen subjects in Kazakh and Russian are planned, as well as a session of librarians. Teachers of AEO" Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools", leading and pilot schools will conduct webinars, master classes and presentations in an online format, expert opinions of international experts will be presented, and the National Academy of Education named after I. Altynsarin will make proposals on the organization of the educational process in the new academic year. Currently, one of the most pressing priorities for teachers is the formation of functional literacy within the discipline, as well as the format and content of the current and final assessment.
On the first day of the online consultation, tens of thousands of teachers from different regions of the country gathered. Subject sessions were devoted to primary school teachers and the subject "Natural Science". The live broadcast began with a viewing of the OECD Compass" Education 2030 " and continued with a question-and-answer interview of Aizere Kairatbek and Samina Seitbekova, who are just crossing the threshold of the school. They came to the NIS television studio to share ideas about their dream schools. Future schoolchildren took part in the subject session for primary school teachers. Aizere and Samina shared their childhood dreams, imagining what their future teachers would be like, leading them to a new life.
Experts analyzed the tasks for the new academic year, the format and content of the current and final assessment, the formation of functional literacy of students, and teachers of intellectual and general education schools prepared master classes. Among the speakers were representatives of the center of pedagogical excellence: developer of educational programs for primary school subjects, head of the Department of preschool and primary education Kalamkas Baitenova, senior managers Natalia Orekhova and Gulmira Zhakupova, as well as Chief Researcher of the laboratory of SME and STEM technologies of the National Academy of Education named after Ibrai Altynsarin Ordenbek Mazbayev, art teacher of Nis in Pavlodar Dinara Kabieva and others.
Gulnar Musabekova, a primary school teacher of Secondary School No. 8, who joined the online conference in Tekeli, Almaty region, says that during the subject session, she found a lot of new knowledge and ideas for further work:
- Despite the difficulties caused by quarantine restrictions, we were able to maintain the level of academic performance at the proper level . It is obvious that the conference for primary school teachers will help to prepare for the return to the usual format of training in the coming academic year, – commented Gulnar Musabekova.
Alisher Sovetbayev, a natural science teacher at Koshkarbayev secondary school in karatal district, thanked NIS for the informative methodological part of the conference and said that the expert council to fill gaps in teaching will help to overcome all possible difficulties and confidently continue the educational process in the normal mode.
The focus of the second day of subject Sessions was on teachers of music, art work and physical education.
The experts, reflecting on the unique combination of musical, digital and information literacy, came to the conclusion that listening and performing music, properly developing literacy, will help to understand the value of national and World Culture. In art classes, a sense of beauty and tenderness is formed. According to experts in the field of art, the development of children's creative abilities directly depends on the creativity of the teacher.
During the master classes, subject teachers of NIS-Aliya Kaidarova, Almira Daniyarova, Gauhar Kairbayeva and Saule Akhmetkalieva, as well as teachers of general education schools Yulia Berezko, Zeynolla Khasenov and Mukhametkan Akhmetzhanov shared their knowledge.
Physical education teacher of NIS physics and mathematics in Shymkent, winner of the Republican contest "Best Teacher-2019" Yerbol Tleulov during a master class showed that it is possible and necessary to develop functional literacy in physical education classes.
– Living in harmony with your body is a mandatory component of a healthy life of a healthy person. This principle becomes the main focus of the curriculum, which is based on the development of critical thinking through motor activity, a healthy lifestyle and motor skills, – says Yerbol Ernstovich.
More than eight thousand physical education teachers received a visual understanding of how to use these tools in their classes in the new school year.
The focus of the third day of the August conference for teachers of the country is subject sessions for philologists.
More than twenty thousand subject teachers joined the online conference in Kazakh, Russian and English to discuss topical topics for the teaching community and participate in master classes of expert colleagues.
Philologists analyzed plans for the development of students ' reading literacy, because the ability to understand and read various texts and use information to solve tasks is one of the most important competencies of a person in the 21st century. Another important skill of modern people is to work with a large amount of information.
– I received answers to questions about methods of developing students ' literacy. For working with the text, the given tasks and recommendations of the authors were useful. It should be noted that the information and reviewed materials allowed me to once again review my views, get rid of internal panic, feel confident, systematize intermittent knowledge about functional literacy and see ways to further improve my experience, – shared her impressions of the teacher of Russian language and literature of Secondary School No. 2 of Karkaraly District of Karaganda region Arai Tobykova.
Next, live sessions of the online conference will be held for teachers of Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History of Kazakhstan, and world history. A large-scale pedagogical Council will be summed up by a section for librarians.
It should be noted that the main pedagogical meeting of the year has become the core of professional thinking on the ways of formation of functional literacy of students in the educational process, issues of safety and well-being of students in the school community, the format and content of the current and final assessment, features of the educational process in the post-covid period, the importance of digitalization of education, the possibilities of artificial intelligence in education, the specifics of the organization of the educational process in the new academic year.
- This August meeting is held in a special format. The most important thing is that the features of the new academic year and the questions of each teacher were answered. It was shown in a practical way, focusing on the work carried out depending on the abilities of students. I think that every specialist who shared their experience during the conference was able to find a way to the heart of every teacher,-says Zhumagul Yessil, deputy director for educational work of the school – Lyceum No. 40 named after Alkey Margulan.
