Strengthening of preparatory work in the development of functional literacy of students in the framework of international studies PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, ICILS

On January 20, 2021 the Educational and Methodological Center for the Development of Education in Almaty region held a webinar in order to intensify work on the development of functional literacy of students in preparation for the international studies PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, ICILS. At the event, the head of the Department "Information and methodological support of educational process" scientific-methodical Cabinet of Zhambyl region, the regional coordinator sh. Jamalbekov from my own experience, introduced the methods of effective organization of work on preparation for international studies. Director of Gymnasium No. 24Taraz M. Gladchenko in her speech showed the importance of pedagogical monitoring in preparing students and parents for the international TIMSS study. Methodologist of the Department of Education of Zhambyl district of Almaty region, district coordinator A. Beibitova told about the work carried out in the region to develop the functional literacy of students. The webinar was attended by district and city methodologists of the educational and methodological center, members of the association of directors of successful schools, deputy directors, members of subject associations.
