On January 19-29, 2021, the republican campaign "Safe School Bus" is being held throughout the country.
The purpose of the Campaign: to ensure road safety when organizing the transportation of students to places of study, to prevent road accidents when transporting children by school buses.
Quality of participants: preschool and school-age children, representatives of interested state bodies, commissions for minors and protection of their rights, parents, institutions, public, NGOs, media, local police, etc.
Content and format of the Promotion:
The slogan is "For a safe school bus".
The Republican decadent should be a reminder to children, parents and society about the rules of road safety and transportation of children.
It is proposed to hold the Decade in stages, each of which includes special events.
1. Study of the activities of local executive bodies for the organization of school transportation:
In the context of a pandemic, the focus is on safe transportation and on compliance with sanitary regulations
- check the technical condition of motor transport, the availability and serviceability of tachographs, information about the passage of technical inspection of vehicles, the driver's composition (the presence of appropriate categories, driving experience, discipline at the wheel), the presence of a route diagram;
- check of vehicles for compliance with technical requirements for vehicles;
- safety of access roads to the school (lighting of the territory, pedestrian crossings, the presence of a sign "Children", the creation of artificial road bumps "lying police", etc.);
- the presence of special light (flashing lights) and sound signals on the vehicle (bus) carrying children;
- the presence of active video surveillance cameras to access roads to the school, pedestrian crossings;
- conduct training sessions with school bus drivers on the topic of ensuring road safety and the inadmissibility of traffic violations, as well as the mandatory use of emergency alarms when boarding and disembarking children in a vehicle.
1. Organization and holding of events online:
- safety lessons on explaining the rules of the road with the distribution of leaflets, brochures on traffic regulations;
- competitions of drawings, class hours "Be brighter" among primary school students and their parents;
- information and explanatory work with the display of social videos about the rules of the road;
- online questionnaires on the implementation of traffic rules and transportation of children, conducting classes, lectures, parent meetings in preschool institutions and general education schools;
- organization of challenges, flash mobs to encourage road users to be careful on the road. This event is recommended to be held with the involvement of representatives of children's public associations, non-governmental organizations.
