Trade between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan

In order to create favorable conditions for trade between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and improve the efficiency of customs control, information from export declarations is currently being exchanged for goods moving across the customs border of the two countries.

Reconciliation will help to assess fiscal risks in a timely manner and identify underestimation of goods moving across the Kazakh-Uzbek border. It also helps to avoid the risk of corruption and speed up traffic.

The state revenue Committee, carrying out customs control after the release of goods, sends international requests, including to Uzbekistan, if there are signs of understatement. Thanks to the responses received, the facts of substitution of invoices and export declarations with a deliberate underestimation of the customs value of goods were revealed.

Taking into account the volume of mutual trade turnover with the Republic of Uzbekistan and the existing mutual exchange, the Committee will expand the scope of detecting unfair foreign trade and continue using the tool for comparing customs statistics of neighboring countries.
