The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev, in his speech at the first National Congress, emphasized the historical significance of the Republic Day and proposed returning the status of a national holiday and celebrating it as Independence Day. As a result of this, an appropriate law was adopted, and from this year, as one of the innovations in New Kazakhstan, this day began to be celebrated as a holiday with a special national status - a day off in the Balkhash region, and on October 25, Republic Day was celebrated in the regional House of Culture!
