Key indices of the UAPF as of October 1, 2020
For nine months of 2020, pension accumulations in the amount of KZT 12.5 trillion were formed on the accounts of the contributors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. For the year from 01.10.2019 to 01.10.2020, the amount increased by almost KZT 1.9 trillion, or 20%. In many respects, such an impressive growth was achieved due to the fact that more than KZT 1.08 trillion of net investment return was credited to the accounts of the UAPF contributors, which is KZT 598.6 billion more compared to the same period last year.
The main amount of pension accumulations was formed at the expense of compulsory pension contributions (CPC) and amounted to KZT12.2 trillion (an increase since the beginning of 2020 was 16%). The amount of pension accumulations on compulsory occupational pension contributions (COPC) amounted to KZT 301.9 billion (an increase of 23%), the amount of pension accumulations on voluntary pension contributions (VPC) reached KZT 2.14 billion (growth is 10%).
The number of individual pension saving accounts in the UAPF as of October 1, 2020 in comparison with the same period in 2019 increased by almost 1.2 million units. As of 01.10.2019, the number of IPSA was 10.6 million units (10,576,023), and by 01.10.2020 exceeded 11.7 million (11,729,797). Thus, the growth in one year was 11%.
The largest number of accounts were opened for compulsory pension contributions (CPC) - there are almost 11 million of them, or rather 10,982,963 (11% growth since the beginning of the year). Next are the accounts formed at the expense of compulsory occupational pension contributions (COPC) - 521,681 (2% growth), the number of voluntary pension contributions (VPC) is gradually growing, such accounts in the UAPF are now 56,517 (4% growth).
Since the beginning of 2020, pension contributions in the total amount of KZT 777.07 billion have been received on depositors' accounts, which exceeded the indicators for 9 months of 2019 by 61.7 billion or 9%. Of the total amount of contributions, 95.4% are receipts to the UAPF on CPC – KZT 740.2 billion, KZT 35.2 billion were received on COPC, KZT 353 million were transferred on VPC.
Benefit payments amounted to KZT 138.5 billion, most of which, namely 33%, accounted for pension benefits by age (KZT 46.1 billion), transfers to insurance organizations (KZT36.1 billion), for leaving for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan (KZT 27.6 billion), to heirs (KZT 24.5 billion), for burial (KZT3.01 billion), disability benefits (KZT 1.1 billion).
