First of all, I would like to thank the initiators of this seminar and wish the participants fruitful work.
As you know,Almaty region is an agricultural region that has a huge potential,the availability of soil and climatic conditions and water sources for its sustainable development.
Further development of science and production,introduction of new advanced technologies in the field of agriculture,implementation of innovative measures in this area are the main conditions for the production of high-quality products.
The region produces about 17% of all agricultural products of the country,the region is a leader in the production of corn for grain 86.5 thousand hectares (share-62% ) sugar beet 16.1 thousand hectares (75%),soybeans 101.5 thousand hectares (96%),vegetables 32.5 thousand hectares (25%) fruits and berries 15.7 thousand hectares (39%).
The head of state set tasks for the agricultural sector to switch to progressive resource-saving technologies,further expand the acreage and diversify production.
In this direction,some work is being carried out in the region,in particular, agricultural crops are increasing annually, only in the last three years (2017-2020) their area has increased by 21 thousand hectares.
As part of crop diversification,we plan to increase the acreage of priority crops,such as sugar beet,corn,fodder, vegetable and oilseeds, by reducing low-profit crops.
At the same time,the main problem in agriculture today is a low level of productivity,largely due to the insufficient use of advanced technologies.One of the most productive and promising crops is rapeseed.
