Engineering network’s reconstruction in Almaty will be completed at the end of August

According to the head of the Energy and Municipal Department of the city Maksut Isakhov, all work on the reconstruction of engineering networks on the roadway will be completed by the end of the month, thus ensuring unimpeded transportation of vehicles in all sectors. At the same time, work will continue on the improvement of the territory and the dismantling of temporary schemes that provided residents of the city with uninterrupted hot water supply for the period of reconstruction.

This year, the modernization of engineering networks covered the streets of Tole bi (Varlamov-Otigen batyr-Otarskaya and Rozybakiev-Tlendiev), Bogenbay batyr (Mukanov-Aitiev), Zhambyl (Pushkin-Nazarbayev), Kazybek bi (Valikhanov-Abdullinykh), Karasay batyr ( Nauryzbay batyr - Tchaikovsky), Tchaikovsky (Karasay batyr - Tole bi) and Shagabutdinov (Kurmangazy - Central Stadium).

In general, over 800 km of engineering networks were built and reconstructed in Almaty over the past year, including 313 km of water supply, 266 km of sewerage, 150 km of power supply network and 32.3 km of heat supply network.

524 streets with a length of about 500 km were repaired, and 100 km of sidewalks for pedestrians were equipped. Of the 3,877 Almaty courts, nearly 1,400 households have already been modernized and improved. There has been finished the repair of all underground passages.

In addition, the reconstruction of the historic center of the city continues. If last year they modernized the streets of Panfilov, Zhibek Zholy, Gogol, Kabanbai batyr, Tolebayev, Bayseitova and Astana Square, this year the repair covers Abay, Khan, Dostyk, Nazarbayev, Zheltoksan, the station area Almaty 2 and square in front of the Palace of the Republic.
