In Almaty several important buildings have been equipped with an architectural illumination

Nowadays, an architectural lighting is used in many cities by highlighting the unique and original city attractions. It creates a comfortable environment for evening walks. In turn, the modern energy-saving technologies supply energy saving and light source’s long- term.

For forming the single architectural style of city building’s illumination, the facilities and the landscapes in the evening and night, 130 significant architectural buildings of the city were light up in Almaty during the last two years.

Among them there are the Independence Monument, the Kazakhstan Hotel, the Glory Memorial, the Kok-Tobe TV tower, Abay Theater, the Auezov Theater, the Kasteyev Museum, the Museum of Folk Instruments named after Ikhlas, the Central Mosque, the Holy Ascension Cathedral and other important structures in Almaty.

All projects of a uniform style of architectural illumination in Almaty are realized at the expense of non-budget funds.

In addition, this year several city avenues are being reconstructed in Almaty, where street and pavement lightings are installed, pedestrian areas are being enlarged, green spaces are planted to create the shades and the construction of new fountains.

The pavers are being done, lighting pillars are replaced, the watering system is being done, and the building’s entrance panels and facades are being renewed.

At the end of the year, a third of all street lighting will be updated. For energy-saving and LED lighting, more than 24,000 lamps or 31.5% will be changed. For example, the change of lighting pillars in Timiryazev street is already being completed as a part of the high-speed line construction for BRT buses

Last year the city authorities modernized the streets of Panfilov, Zhibek Zholy, Gogol, Kabanbay batyr, Tolebayev, Bayseitov and Astana Square. This year the repair have been done along Abay,Abylai khan, Dostyk, Nazarbayev, Zheltoksan, the station area "Almaty 2 "and the square in front of the Republic Palace.

In the city there has repaired 524 streets with a length of 500 km. The renewal of all underground passages of the city is going to be finished.

About 800 km of engineering networks were built and reconstructed.

The repair of another 12 km of heating networks, the expansion of existing gas pipelines and the laying of new water supply networks for more than 120 thousand residents are being completed.

In the city, nearly 300 km of irrigation ditch networks have also been renewed.

At the same time, over 70 km of irrigation ditches were built in often flooded areas. In future, another 45 km of irrigation ditches networks will be modernized.

Nearly 1,400 out of almost 3,800 yards of the old yards are being repaired by the city power.

Within the framework of the reconstruction, new children's and sports grounds, simulators and playgrounds, new lighting pillars are done here. In some yards, they work by solar energy as the pilot mode.
