New roads will be built on 177 streets of suburban districts of Almaty

Answering the questions of Almaty residents live on Akimat LIVE, the Akim of the city Bakhytzhan Sagintayev spoke about the work underway on improving road infrastructure.

 

A resident of the "Kairat" microdistrict, of the Turksib region, filed a complaint about the poor condition of the roads. This year, construction of water supply and sewerage networks is underway on Street 51 of the microdistrict. Of these, 26 streets were previously asphalted, 25 - unpaved. Today, asphalt has been restored on 7 streets, and on 19 streets, work is underway to lay asphalt pavements. Out of the 25 unpaved streets, 10 are filled with inert materials, on 15, this work is underway, including the Syra Ark street indicated in the appeal. The construction of new roads along these streets is planned for next year.

 

In general, in the city this year, construction is underway on 177 streets with a length of 47.4 km, of which construction has been completed on 112 streets with a length of 18.6 km. By the end of the year, the construction of roads on the remaining 65 streets, with a length of 28.8 km, are planned to be completed.

 

New roads will appear in the microdistricts Ozhet, Ulzhan-1, Ulzhan-2, Shanyrak-2, Aigerim-1, Aigerim-2, Darkhan-Baibesik, Trudovik (Tomiris), Algabas-AZTM ,Zhas Kanat , Karasu , Kok-Kainar,  Akbulak , Sayaly-2 . Over 122 thousand people reside in these micodistricts. 

 

In 2020, 283 streets with a length of 200 km are planned to be repaired. To date, the work has been completed on 91 streets, with a length of 62.6 km. Current repairs are planned for 300 thousand square meters of asphalt concrete pavement of the city's road network. Repairs have been completed on 151 thousand sq. m. And 19.2 km of the planned 30 sidewalks were built.
