More than 1,000 trees will be planted on the renewed Abay avenue in Almaty

During the avenue modernization, the pedestrian area was enlarged, and the asphalt was changed by the pavers. In future, modern and comfortable outdoor furniture will be installed here.

The new fountain’s constructions and the facade’s renovations are being completed. The LED road installation and the sidewalk lightings are being done. In October, more than 1,000 different trees will be planted.

During the working visit, Almaty governor Bauyrzhan Baibek drew the attention of the contractor to the need to refine a number of things for the convenience of citizens.

"It is necessary to ensure the organization of a barrier-free environment maximally for our citizens. Not all the ramps were designed, only a ladder to the new fountain before the Academy of Tourism. Correct it",- said Bauyrzhan Baibek ,while visiting the avenue at the intersection with Baytursynov street.

The governor of the city ordered to move the stopping complexes located too close to the carriageway, as well as to install additional ones in the area of the Central Stadium and on other sections with a large passenger traffic.

The layout of the square at the intersection with the street Nauryzbay batyr, and also increased the area of gardening in front of the former building of the Turksib hospital.

West of the Seifullin Avenue on the site of the former spontaneous parking, a shaded space with small architectural forms, landscaping and modern trade objects will be organized.

On the east side of the Masanchi street, on the previously seized pre-sectoral area, at the request of the residents of the house, green spaces will be built.

A number of sections, including the front of the theater named after Lermontov, will be re-laid pavement tiles.

As part of the working trip, Bauyrzhan Baibek also checked zheltoksan street and instructed to organize a security island for pedestrians in front of the monument "Tauelsizdik tany".

Earlier, the head of the city instructed to correct all identified shortcomings when laying paving slabs on the square in front of the Palace of the Republic. In addition, the city governor criticized the work of the subsidiary organization of the construction company Elitstroy, which is carrying out the reconstruction of Abylai khan avenue and gave a one-month period for correction.

It should be mentioned that in general in Almaty 524 streets were repaired, almost 1400 old yards. Nearly 300 km of irrigation ditches and about 800 km of engineering networks have been built and reconstructed.

All underground passages of the city have been updated. Until the end of the year, a third of all street lighting will be LED and energy-saving.
