The governor of Almaty met with the chairman of the Swiss Foreign Affairs Committee

Today, Switzerland occupies a leading position in the development of innovations in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, and the city of Zug and the eponymous canton have become a global center for block chain technology. In addition, Swiss companies have an extensive experience in the implementation of Smart-City projects.

Taking into account the realization of the state program “Digital Kazakhstan” and the introduction of new technologies within the “Smart Almaty” project, the parties had an interest in cooperation and exchange of experience in these areas.

It is worth noting that Switzerland is the third largest foreign investor in Kazakhstan. The trade turnover between Almaty and Switzerland continues to show a positive trend. The city has 93 enterprises with Swiss capital participation in the field of trade, medicine, finance, etc.
