So, an audit of leased land has already begun, on which the period of temporary land use has expired. Today, prosecutors have identified 34 such sites, which continue to be used without rent. These lands will be returned to the state fund.

During the board meeting, the city prosecutor Berik Zhuriktaev also reported that over the past two years, more than 300 land plots necessary for the construction of road junctions were seized to develop the infrastructure of the city. As a result of the audit, the facts of forgery of documents were revealed, as well as of a biased overvalued value. Damage to the state from such illegal actions amounted to about 2.5 billions tenge. The prosecutor’s office has already prevented the damage by 1.5 billion tenge.

“Today, this area is attractive for various kinds of machinations. Each owner of the object is trying by all means to increase the amount of compensation. The most common way is to fake documents and overestimate. Criminals fake everything - decisions of local executive bodies, technical certificates and acts of commissioning facilities. In general, we have already identified 14 facts of forgery of documents, the damage from which is about 2 billion tenge. Criminal proceedings were instituted against him, measures are being taken to compensate for the damage, ”said Berik Juyriktaev.

According to him, today the prosecutor's office continues to work on a comparative analysis of the evaluators' conclusions and identifying the facts of a biased approach. As a result of the rechecking of documents, a review of cases in court will be initiated. Today, in court, it was possible to lower the initial estimate for 5 sites by 500 millions tenge. 12 more protests are under consideration, which are expected to decrease by another 300 millions tenge.

According to the city prosecutor's department, there are also facts of violations relating to land with an expired lease term. Over the past 10 years, about 18 thousand land plots with a total area of 3.7 thousand hectares, including transferred land from the region, have been granted temporary use. People continue to use the land despite the expiration of the lease and not asking for an extension, fearing failure. As a result, the budget does not receive significant funds in the form of rent.

In general, according to the act of prosecutor's survey, work on the additional charge of the 10-fold land tax for non-development of land plots has been activated today in Almaty.

“For example, only from one land plot with an area of 43.9 hectares for the construction of apartment houses, the tax amount, taking into account 10-fold additional charges, were 120 millions tenge,” added to the supervisory authority.
