In Almaty started a new service of per minute car rental

According to Trani Vincenzo, president of the international holding company Micro Capital, the project is a concrete example of the use of new technologies, allowing citizens to save time and money, as well as reduce the burden on the road infrastructure of the metropolis.

“We see that in Almaty, the pedestrian infrastructure is improving, transport reform is being implemented, and conditions are being created for the development of business, which will increase the comfort of the citizens. Using our mobile application, you can find a free car, make a payment and use it for your trips within the Almaty metropolitan area. Clients of the service do not need to refuel, wash a car, pay for parking or leave it in a certain place, ”said Trani Vincenzo.

For example, on a rented car you can move not only within the city, but also go to the main tourist destinations, including Medeu, BAO, and even go to Kapshagai. The car with an automatic transmission is equipped with a rear-view camera, a navigator and climate control.

Today, 4 million euros have been invested in the project and 100 new Volkswagen Polo cars are already available. Next year, it is planned to expand the fleet to 500 cars and create new jobs.

“In Almaty, we already employ 50 local specialists with an average salary of about 300 thousand tenge. At the same time, I would like to single out one very talented young man, Mukhit Seidakhmetov, a Bolashak graduate who once worked for Uber. He became my deputy and is fully responsible for the development of business throughout the region, ”added the President of the international holding company Micro Capital.

Since in Almaty, within the framework of the transformation of the city, a pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure is being created, the company is considering the possibility of creating an electric scooter service next year.

It is worth noting that on the eve of Almaty, he was awarded the highest award of the European Smart Cities Forum for the implementation of a comprehensive reform of the transport system.

The Competition Committee noted the systematic approach of Almaty and its compliance with such criteria as the use of digital technologies to ensure the transparency of public transport revenues and their removal from the shadow turnover, as well as an emphasis on improving the environment through the modernization of pedestrian and public spaces.

By the end of the year, the share of new public transport is planned to increase to 80%.
