№99 buses will be renewed in Almaty

Low-floor buses have an air conditioning,a video camera, a tilt system and they are the buses of environmental class Euro-5.

According to the fact that the carriageway of Baitenov and Maykopskaya streets in Aigerim microdistrict do not allow movement of buses of this class, the route scheme has been slightly modified, so the final stop will be extended to Sadovaya street.

New buses will be launched on the route from October 29 of the current year.

It should be noted that by the end of the year the share of new public transport in Almaty will be brought up to 87%. On the eve, another 200 new buses arrived in the city.

“Old smoky buses should not be basically in the city. If the private carrier does not renew the buses, despite the conditions created, then the contract with it should be dissolved. It is necessary to actively introduce new technologies and in the future to work on the issues of free transplantation. The main criteria determining the traffic quality is the level of citizen’s satisfaction. In order to keep the number of personal vehicles in the city at the current level, citizens should be offered a decent alternative, ”Bauyrzhan Baybek said at the presentation of new buses yesterday.
