B. Sagintayev congratulated journalists on their professional holiday

The Akim of Almaty, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, noted the importance and significance of journalistic work in modern conditions, in his congratulations to the media. 

 

The Akim of the city published his words of congratulation on his Twitter account.

“I congratulate the journalistic community of Almaty on their professional holiday! Your skills are especially in demand in modern realities, when the health and lives of citizens depend on timely and complete information! Wishing you the fulfillment of your innermost desires, success and prosperity! ”, B. Sagintayev wrote.

It should be noted, that in accordance with the order of the akim of Almaty, all services in the akimat are guided by the principles of openness and prompt response. All district akims, and heads of departments are represented in social networks, where they respond to residents' requests.

For the first time, in the Akimat of Almaty, a press center was created on the site of which the heads of regional akimats, departments and structural divisions carry out explanatory work and respond to media questions.

Since the beginning of the year, 167 press conferences have been held, 366 speakers have spoken, answering 1685 questions. At the same time, 131 press conferences were devoted to the fight against the non-proliferation of COVID-19. 199 speakers answered 1339 questions on Covid.

During the state of emergency, the press service of the city akimat created a special chat in WhatsApp messenger, where it quickly informs journalists about the battle against the coronavirus infection.

Of the nearly 3,500 media registered in Kazakhstan, more than a thousand work in Almaty. Of these, 937 are periodicals, 54 electronic and 93 online media.
