Almaty patrons and volunteers were awarded with the Khalyk Algysy medal

During the republican online forum Biz Birgemiz, the most active participants in the fight against COVID-19 were noted, including doctors, police officers, volunteers and journalists.

Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noted the contribution of volunteers who participated in the Republican Biz Birgemiz campaign, in the fight against the spread of COVID-19. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the Elbasy and himself personally.

As the akim of Almaty, Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted, the help of Kazakhstanis who weren’t indifferent, was especially important during the state of emergency.

“Almaty residents, who have always been distinguished by their responsiveness and willingness to provide support, have been involved in public work from the first days. The contribution of each of them, as well as thousands of other citizens, is invaluable, ” the akim of the city emphasized.

According to B. Sagintayev, the measures taken during the emergency regime allowed to stop the mass spread of the coronavirus. Due to the fact that the townspeople listened to the recommendations and remained on self-isolation, the situation was saved.

“I understand that the residents are missing communication, meetings, nature, walks in the streets and squares. It is our lifestyle. But, unfortunately, a pandemic is an invisible enemy that makes adjustments to the usual way of life. Therefore, I ask Almaty residents to comply with all the requirements of the sanitary-epidemiological services. They are very simple: you need to take care of yourself, your relatives, friends, colleagues around you and not expose them and yourself to the risk of infection, ”B. Sagintayev addressed the townspeople.

The Almaty akim noted the work of doctors and police, who were the first to take the blow of the pandemic and are at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus. B. Sagintayev also thanked the patrons who contributed and supported the townspeople, as well as the volunteers who packed and delivered food packages to those in need. Particularly distinguished were awarded the Khalyk Algysy Medal, as well as letters of thanks from the Elbasy.
