The new tourist attraction point is located on the road to the Space Station at an altitude of 2500 m above sea level (link to 2GIS) near famous peaks: Rocky Peak (3332 m), Crumb peak (3722 m), Soviets peak (4317 m), Ozerny Peak (4126 m).
The camping area is an equipped area for lovers of mountain recreation, trekking, hiking and long walks with a tent. For a comfortable and safe rest of tourists, tent places are allocated, cozy gazebos, tables with benches and an Altybakan swing in the national style are installed.
"We are working on creating new routes for tourists, paying special attention to the development of mountain infrastructure. Information stands, signs, and billboards are installed along the routes. There are QR codes on the navigation stands, where tourists can get acquainted with the complexity of the route, its length and time of passage. Information about camping areas has been added to mapping platforms, including 2GIS," said Galiya Tokseitova, Head of the Almaty Tourism Department.
The new camping area has become the tenth in a row opened by the Tourism Department of Almaty in recent years. Recall that in the summer of this year, as part of the development of tourist infrastructure, camping zones "Ak-Bulak" and "Mynzhylki" were created.
The Tourism Department of Almaty asks vacationers to take care of nature, not to leave garbage in the mountains, and also reminds of compliance with safety rules during mountain hikes:
Going to the mountains, it is necessary to inform your loved ones about
your route.
Dress according to the weather, protect your skin from the sun. Take with you
necessary equipment, headgear, water, food and
a charged phone with a portable charger.
Don't go off the trail along the way.
Do not ignore SMS warnings from the Rescue Service.
