Inclusive meetings: Dosaev performs with sign language support

Videos with sign language interpreters will be broadcast in the meeting hall with the population of the Akim of Almaty. This was noted by Yerbolat Dosayev when asked by a resident of the Auezovsky district during a meeting with the population on the creation of an inclusive city.
"We have identified inclusion issues as one of the main directions for the metropolis. The city is implementing a project to adapt the facility for people with limited mobility and people with disabilities. We are currently broadcasting with sign language translation. I will tell them to consider the possibility of broadcasting sign language interpreters, where the meeting itself takes place. And I invite you to cooperate with the akimat, we are ready to consider your proposals and we will be glad if you will help us in these matters," Dosayev said.

It should be recalled that the meetings of Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev with residents of the district are held with sign language accompaniment on the air of the Almaty TV channel. This is part of the initiative of the head of the city to adapt Almaty for people with limited mobility and people with special needs.

Also, at the initiative of the mayor, a project is being implemented in the city to adapt the facility for people with limited mobility and people with disabilities. For this purpose, large-scale work on the certification of social facilities is being carried out in Almaty for the first time.

It is planned to certify 75 thousand objects within the framework of the "Almaty City Development Program until 2025 and medium-term prospects until 2030". Of these, 7.5 thousand objects will receive passports by the end of 2023.
Data on private facilities will be transferred to the Department of the Committee of Labor and Social Protection in Almaty for issuing instructions on the elimination of identified violations. In case of refusal, the owners face fines from 120 to 400 MCI (from 414 thousand to 1.4 million tenge).
