The construction of a new Almagul substation has been completed in Almaty, which will provide uninterrupted power supply to over 200 thousand residents

The construction of the Almagul substation, located in the Bostandyk district of Almaty at the intersection of Gagarin and Kozhabekov streets, has been completed by 100%. The laying of 4.8 km of 110 kV power supply cable line to this substation has also been completed.

This substation will cover the loads of consumers in the southern part of Almaty. New residential complexes under construction and in the square of al-Farabi - Zharokova - Utepova - Rozybakieva streets, Almagul microdistrict will be connected to it. Measures for connecting cables to sections and transferring consumer loads will be carried out by JSC "AZHK".

It should be noted that the need for a substation was caused by frequent power outages in the Bostandyk district due to massive, chaotic buildings. This issue was raised by residents of the Bostandyk district during a meeting with the Mayor of Almaty. Yerbolat Dosayev instructed to complete all work on this substation by the end of July this year. Thus, the Almagul substation will ensure uninterrupted power supply to approximately 200 thousand consumers.
