Missive in action: a sports center for children has been built on the site of a wasteland in Almaty

In the Message to the people of Kazakhstan, the Head of State drew attention to the need for the development of mass sports and the construction of at least 100 fitness complexes.

In order to fulfill the tasks set by the President of the country, Almaty is actively working to modernize the city's infrastructure, and sports centers and playgrounds are being opened and reconstructed. Particular attention is paid to projects implemented in the framework of public-private partnerships. In turn, the multifunctional sports complex "Zharys Arena" was the first facility built in the framework of the Address of the Head of State.

“Our President Nursultan Nazarbayev constantly pays special attention to the development of mass sports and the country's sports infrastructure. As you can see, a large amount of work was done by a private investor with the support of the state, thanks to which you, our children, received another excellent opportunity to realize yourself in sports and actively lead a healthy lifestyle. During extra-curricular time, residents of nearby areas can play sports here, ”said Almaty’s governor Bauyrzhan Baybek.

It should be mentioned that the new sports complex was built on a former school waste ground. Now there are several indoor soccer fields with artificially anti-allergic surfaces, a combined volleyball and basketball ground, treadmills 250 meters long, as well as facilities for men's and women's changing rooms with bathrooms and showers.

Earlier, in Almaty, on the territory of the reconstructed stadium “Sputnik” a football training complex for children “Zhas Kyran” opened. The renewed stadium for 800 spectators with a hinged roof is equipped with under-stand spaces, a field with drainage system and the latest generation of Italian artificial turf certified by FIFA. More than 500 young football players will be able to train here, the total coaching staff of the football center is 50 people.
