Railway stations "Almaty-1" and "Almaty-2" will be given to the municipal property of the city

By his speech, this measure will allow the executive committee to reconstruct the stations, increasing the design capacity, since the existing one is not enough for the constantly growing passenger traffic, and also to develop them as part of the city’s transport infrastructure.

The planned reconstruction is "Almaty-1" in 2019 and "Almaty-2" in 2020.

As part of the modernization of urban spaces being carried out at the expense of the local budget this year, both railway stations have already been reconstructed, where landscaping areas have been expanded and pavement tiles have been laid. Redistribution of flows with a priority for public transport was made before the stations themselves, pedestrian crossings with security islands were equipped and video surveillance cameras were installed.

It is worth noting that earlier a number of other iconic objects of Almaty were returned to the municipal property of the city.

The return of the land of the Atakent Exhibition Center reduced the area of asphalt pavement on the territory of the complex, with the dismantling of various outbuildings on lawns and planting trees. In order to ensure the safe movement of pedestrians, spontaneous parking has been eliminated and entry into the territory is prohibited.

Another one of the land returned to the state will soon have a Museum of Sak culture in the open. An agreement was done between the executive committee of the city and one of the second-tier banks on the transfer to a territory of 2.7 hectares in the square of Rozybakiyev-Strauss-Yeskarayev-Radostovts.

Earlier, the city was given a land plot for construction of a residential complex in the northern part of the Yuzhny Park, where, taking into account the recommendations of the residents of the district, the park zone is being reconstructed.

After the transfer to the municipal property of the city of the territory of the natural monument “Grove of Baum”, an inventory was taken and lands of 2.5 hectares captured by private persons and the owners of the car dealership for organizing parking were returned. For the purpose of improvement, navigation signs and police stations were already installed at the initial stage. Work is underway to expand the flora of the park area.

In turn, on the basis of the Baluan Sholak Palace of Culture and Sports, the country's first tourist hub appeared. The building has already opened the information center Visit Almaty. The surrounding area is also defined as a single place for organizing irregular tourist routes.
