When will the gasification of the private sector in Almaty be finished

Of the 2,217 houses planned for gasification, which is only 1% of the private sector, 200 houses are already connected. About 1,000 more houses received access to gas supply, and the remaining 1,017 houses are planned to be provided with access to distribution networks in the third quarter of this year.

“It was planned to complete all the work last year, but the tender procedures in KazTransGas Aimak JSC were held late. In connection with the beginning of the heating season and in order to avoid additional inconveniences for the citizens, because of dug-ups after the intervention of the akimat, it was decided to postpone the start of work to the spring-summer period of the current year. In addition, an agreement was reached with all companies to reduce prices for connecting to networks. There are discounts for socially vulnerable segments of the population. For example, for participants of the Great Patriotic War - for free, for low-income and large families - 50%, for disabled people of I, II groups - 30%, ”explained Maksut Isakhov.

He also noted that within the framework of the execution of the instructions of the Head of State in the city, work was carried out to optimize the costs of energy-generating enterprises and investment programs, which made it possible to reduce utility rates in Almaty.

Thus, the gas tariff was reduced by 16% or from 31.02 to 26.2 tenge per 1 m3, water supply by 10% or from 49.61 to 44.65 tenge per 1 m3, water disposal by 10% or from 25.71 to 23.14 tenge per 1 m3. In addition, the electricity supply tariff was reduced by 2.82% or from 16.32 to 15.90 tenge per 1 kW / h, lift maintenance by 8.5% or from 11.79 to 10.78 tenge per 1 m2, services CPH at 6%.

In turn, the heat supply tariff for individuals with metering devices was reduced by 18% or from 5,327.78 to 4,382.05 tenge per 1 Gcal, without metering devices from 7,267 to 5,977.04 tenge per 1 Gcal.

For example, if earlier a two-room apartment with an area of 50 sq.m., in which 3 people live, was paid approximately 9,395 tenge for heating with a common metering device, then this year the amount should be 7,704 tenge. If, without a general household metering device, the payment was 14,199 tenge, now it is 11,643 tenge.

It should be noted that the amount for thermal energy is charged at a differentiated rate. In houses not equipped with heat meters, the cost of heating services will vary depending on the month of the heating period. For example, in October - 32 tenge per m2, in January - 233.56 tenge per m2.

In houses equipped with a common metering device, accruals are issued taking into account the actual volume of consumption of thermal energy and heat carrier for the needs of heating and hot water supply. At the same time, the consumption of thermal energy to maintain 20º С inside the dwelling is different for each house, hence the price for heating and hot water for each dwelling house is different, depending on the consumption period, taking into account the month.

It is worth noting that earlier in Almaty a comprehensive audit was conducted among monopolists, during which the facts of unjustified overpricing were revealed. The measures taken protected the rights of about 1.5 million citizens and introduced compensating tariffs of almost 4.7 billions tenge.
