The sculpture of Batyrkhan Shukenov will be installed in the Central Park of Almaty
According to the director of the Central Park, Vladimir Kalinin, lighting poles, asphalt pavement and paving tiles have been updated, and modern navigation has been installed. In the very center of the park, where car parking was previously located, sports grounds, a street workout, basketball and football fields, a rollerdrome and a modern concrete skate park were built. A new fountain appeared at the summer scene, and a fountain was reconstructed that had not worked for more than 10 years.
“Within the framework of complex reconstruction, in tribute to the traditions, we made a decision to build a sculpture complex symbolizing the Tengrian Calendar or better known as the 12-year-old Eastern Calendar created by the nomadic peoples of Central Asia. We consulted with a large circle of historians and experts, among them the famous Doctor of Art History, Professor Asiya Ibadullaevna Mukhambetova. I think that in the near future it will become our most popular place in the park, ”emphasized Vladimir Kalinin.
Already this year, an additional children's playground, a sports area for people with limited mobility and the “Garden of Music” will appear in the park, where Bauyrzhan Baybek suggested installing a sculpture dedicated to the honored artist of Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov.
During the working visit, the head of the city examined the Visit Almaty tourist information center, which opened in a previously abandoned building across from Voznesensky Cathedral and checked the reconstruction of the sports track for the cycle track that had been functioning since the 90s. The city’s governor paid special attention to the improvement of sidewalks, including along Gogol Street, leading to Central Park.
It should be noted that today, not indifferent citizens, frustrated by the decision of Elbasy to leave the post of the Head of the State, approached the governor of Almaty.
