In Almaty, Al-Farabi avenue began planting trees

Since April 1975, when Vodozabornaya street was renamed to Al-Farabi avenue, about 30 species of various tree species were planted, but only three - chestnut, pine and spruce - were able to settle down. That is why these tree species were chosen.

In general, about 800 trees will be planted along the avenue from local nurseries. In addition, planting of more than 2.5 thousand square meters of flower gardens will be carried out.

This action is carried out by the executive committee of Almaty together with the Republican public association “Plant a Tree” with sponsorship of the business community. That is, for the project implementation not a single budget tenge will be spent.

Tree planting will be completed by April 10th.

In general, in the near future, as part of the rally Jasyl meken, initiated by the Almaty’s executive committee, it is planned to plant more than 12,000 trees in all districts of the city.
