Drones are used to treat green spaces from pests in Almaty

Drones are now being tested in the hard to reach areas where special engines on wheels cannot reach. Mainly, the green areas are treated in a mechanized method, using knapsack sprayers.

The treatment involves a low hazard biological preparation, which is approved to use in Kazakhstan Republic. It has a specific smell, but is harmless for environment, including people’s health, birds, pets and insects.

Currently treatment is temporarily suspended due to weather conditions. According to weather forecasts, rain is expected from April 21 to April 27 and it decreases the efficiency of the treating substance a lot.

The first round of green spaces biological treatment from pests has started recently. It is carried out at night from 23.00 to 06.00 in order to increase efficiency. This time is the favorable period, since the preparation works better when not interfered by sunrays.
