Akim of Almaty checked the works on renovation of "Zheltoksan" park

Akim of Almaty city Erbolat Dossaev learned the intermediate results of improvement and landscaping process in the Turksib district. Contractor kept repeatedly pushing back and delaying the date of commissioning. Now they must complete all work until September, 2022.

This project is aimed to improve and landscape of the park, clean of the lake and the build of a bridge 40 meters long. Today, the contractor has completed only a part of the whole work – put walking paths, placed benches, installed lanterns and planted about than 3,000 trees.

During the inspection, the akim judged the quality of paving slabs put - the stones sank almost everywhere, there were crevices, chips and cracks. He also remarked the wooden bench complexes surface treatment technology on the issue of paint coming off even before they started operating.

Erbolat Dossaev instructed to install lanterns on both sides of the pedestrian paths, and noted to always consider the qualities if soil before planting seedlings or putting a lawn when landscaping.

Parks should be comfortable, as they are a place of rest for citizens. For this purpose, the Akimat allocates the appropriate funds. The contractor must eliminate all issues comments at its own expense and comply with all requirements and technological processes.

Further plans for the park development were presented as well. Specialists intend to clean up the shallow lake. In recent years, the reservoir has overgrown with reeds, the bottom has silted up, the banks are covered with construction debris. To clean this lake up they are planning to connect it to the urban ditch system, and consider feeding the lake from Zharbulak River.

As part of reconstruction they will build a pedestrian bridge, children's and sports grounds, also put small architectural forms. Сontractor must complete  all the works before September, 2022. Erbolat Dossaev stressed that he would personally inspect the park after the completion of works.

We expect that park after commissioning will become a new center of attraction for more than 20 thousand residents from the nearest small districts - Zhas Kanat, Mayak Groves, Kolkhozshy, etc
