Dinmuhamed Kunaev's house-museum was opened for visits after the renovation

The museum of Dinmukhammed Kunayev was re-opened after renovation, with the participation of Almaty city akim Erbolat Dossaev. Specialists overhauled the building within the framework of the politician’s 110 th anniversary.

The ceremony was also attended by the Chairman of International Kunaev fund Eldar Konaev, his nephew Diar Konaev, his personal doctor Ahat Mulukov and his close friend Alexander Goykolov.

Leading specialists of museums and archives, also designers, artists, video engineers were engaged to the renovation process. Project vision and draft were approved with International Public fund of D. A. Kunaev. Main theme of re-exposition was put by his autobiography memory book “From Stalin to Gorbachyov”, that illustrates his personal overview to important events in the country’s history. Archive documents, photographs and other artifacts are put in timely order and show the personality of Dinmukhammed Kunaev as a prominent socio-political leader.

All the artifacts are remained intact and safe. Museum has been equipped with modern hardware that includes the information stands, multimedia technologies and audio guiding systems. The lift designed for the persons with determination was installed also to facilitate the way to the second floor.

Museum was first opened to 90 th jubilee of D. Kunaev in 2002. The previous renovation was held 10 years ago in 2011. The general pool of museum keeps 8196 artifacts.
