This weekend more than 6 thousand trees will be planted in Almaty.

Sanitary cleaning of streets, courtyards, common areas, irrigation ditch networks, as well as channels and river banks will be done on the same weekend in all districts of the city.

Earlier, as the part of “Zhasyl meken” campaign, 800 hardwood and coniferous trees were planted on the dividing strip along Al-Farabi Avenue. Since April 1975, about 30 species of various tree species were planted here, but only three were able to settle down - chestnut, pine and spruce. That is why it was decided to plant only these types of trees.

The Almaty City Green Economy Department invites every Almaty citizen to take part in the citywide Zhasyl Meken action and plant a tree in his yard.
