Monument to Rosa Baglanova was intsalled in Almaty

In Almaty has opened the monument of great singer Roza Baglanova in the context of her 100th year anniversary. The celebration invitees included city akim Erbolat Dossaev, the Hero of labor, the movie and theatre performer Asanali Ashimov, another Hero Alibek Dnishev, national artist of Kazakhstan Altynbek Korazbayev, cultural figure Kuanysh Abdykalymov, the poet and philologist Akushtap Baktygereeva and finally her close relatives, her son Tazhen and daughter-in-law Maral.

Roza Baglanova used to perform at stage of Kazakh state philharmonic hall named at Zhambyl Zhabayev from 1949 to 1960. Right in front of it now stands the new bronze monument of 4,8-meter height. Bronze and granite artwork was authored by sculptors D. Agzamov, U.Akzholtay, A.Zhamhan, A. Kabyl.

Akim Erbolat Dossaev noted her priceless contribution to development and spreading of Kazakh folk music and works of Kazakhstani composers.

This installation is our tribute to great heritage and memory to Roza Baglanova. She was the shining star or our folk music. Her unique voice and skillful performance were a true gift and revelation to our people. I am extremely glad to take part in commemorating such a great personality due to her anniversary in her beloved Almaty.

Also, due to her 100^th anniversary a concert called “Akmandailym – My white faced Beauty”; was held in the Place of Republic. Many well-known artists performed singles of legendary singer.
