Representatives of 30 countries of the world came to Almaty to the International Forum of the World Confederation of Ethnosport

Welcoming the participants of the forum, Almaty’s governor Bauyrzhan Baybek noted that holding the first World Games in national sports in Kazakhstan in 2021 will not only show the history, culture and art of our people, but will also contribute to the development of interest among the younger generation.

“At the initiative of UNESCO, in the year of the 30th anniversary of our independence, Kazakhstan will host the first World Games in national sports. The decision was taken at the Consultative Council in Istanbul. As Elbasy(The First President) noted in his program article “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe”, the history of folk games is largely connected with the nomadic way of life of our ancestors and with their help we can show the world the history, culture and art of our people, ”said Baibur Baibek.

President of the World Confederation of Ethnosport Bilal Erdogan took part in the international forum in Almaty together with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Turkey.

“The first such forum was held in Istanbul, during which important issues of the development of national sports around the world were voiced. It is no coincidence that we are holding this forum in Almaty. The Republic of Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the preservation of traditions and the promotion of its culture. I want to thank the Kazakh side, as well as the Ethnosport Association of your country for organizing such a serious event, ”said Bilal Erdogan.

President of the Association of Ethnosport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Satybaldy, Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament Bekbolat Tleukhan and others take part in the forum.
